Game console memory

PS1 (Playstation 1) | PS2 (Playstation 2) | PSP (Playstation Portable) | PS3 (Playstation 3) | GameCube | Wii | Xbox | Xbox 360

Almost all the major game consoles over the last decade have used memory cards to store data such as saved games. Although the newest generation of game systems have large hard drives, they still have slots for memory cards to enable players to transfer their saved games between systems.

While the Nintendo Gamecube and Microsoft Xbox can only use memory cards specifically made for those systems, the Wii can use standard < a href="/sd-memory-cards.html">SD cards, the PSP uses Sony Memory Sticks and the Playstation 3 has a flash card reader that can take SD, CompactFlash and Memory Stick formats.
