There are several major manufacturers of memory cards and computer memory, many of whom were also involved with the original design of the major memory formats, from SD cards to DDR2 memory. While some of the memory companies, like Olympus and Fujifilm concentrate on a few types of memory cards, others like SanDisk and Lexar manufacture the full gamut of memory card formats.
