Most desktop PCs are currently running off DDR2 memory, which is the industry standard. Over the next few years it is likely this will gradually change to DDR3 memory. If you are looking to upgrade your desktop memory, make sure you check your PC's specifications - there are several DDR2 configurations and they will not all work in your computer.
