Upgrading your computer's RAM (Random Access Memory) is probably the cheapest and easiest way to improve overall performance. Memory upgrade suppliers such as Crucial Memory make the task of ascertaining which type of memory you need very easy - just input the details of your computer's make and model and they'll tell you what memory you need and how much you are able to install. Installation, though daunting, is also not the challenge you might imagine. Instructions will be provided and modern machines are reasonably simple to open.

Once the additional RAM is installed, turn the computer back on and your computer should automatically be able to register that its there and start using it. If it doesn't, it is most likely that you haven't inserted the RAM memory properly. Just turn your computer off, open it up, take out the new RAM and try installing it again.
