Both Soma and Flexeril are prescription medicine to treat short-term musculoskeletal pain caused by muscle spasm, sprains, and injury. These are not recommended for long-term use. They both are effective medication and their onset of action is 30 minutes. Their effectiveness lasts for about 4 to 6 hours.
