Autonomic ganglia: they are associated with the autonomic nervous system. They are located on the sympathetic chain and its ramifications as well as in the walls of the organs innervated by the autonomic nervous system. They contain the cell bodies of multipolar vegetative peripheral neurons. Many synapses are observed there.
