Question:

How can you find the Specific Heat Capacity of a Substance?

Author: eric_galvao

Answer:

-For a Liquid, or Solid, its the Same -Use a Mass Balance, to get the Mass of your Substance -Simply have a Power supply connect to a Heater, that would heat up the Liquid/Solid -Have a Thermometer, to keep the Track on the Temperature. -Every 10 degrees, stop the Experiment and Record the Energy on the Joulemeter -Repeat it all by 3 Times, top get a Mean -Watch out for some errors, like Heat Escaping. This can be solved however from Insulation, and Lids
