How can Sunni Muslims have free will if God has decided their destiny?

Sunni Muslims, believe they have free will despite God having already decided their destiny because although Muslims themselves don’t have the ability to change Allah’s plan, they do have the ability to act morally good so they are rewarded in the afterlife, rather than being punished.
