What happened in the USSR in August 1991?

Pavlov, Gorbachev prime minister and other plotters held Gorbachev prisoner in his holiday home, sent tanks to streets of Moscow. People opposed the military coup, coup collapsed, Boris Yeltsin emerged as the leader of this opposition.
