Is an anticholinergic agent that works by blocking acetylcholine. The action of acetylcholine is normally balanced by dopamine; in PD, however, because dopamine is depleted, decreasing the acetylcholine helps rebalance dopamine/acetylcholine actions on GABA neurons.
