Fatty liver, not exclusive for ALD. accumulation of TGs in hepatocytes, 90-100% of heavy drinkers have it, short term exposure to over 80g/day for several days may cause it. Reversible, no clinical symptoms (maybe hepatomegaly), normal liver test or elevated. it occurs due to macrovesicular fatty infiltrate, can be due to other causes than alcohol (starve, pregnancy, drug, viral hep, Reye...)
