Caused by a damage in hypothalamus or hypothalamus-pituitary portal blood flow preventing TRH to reach pituitary. Can be caused by mutation of TRH receptor. Can be isolated or w/other hormonal deficiency, results from tumors, trauma, radiation, infiltrative diseases.
