What is an abscess?

Collection of pus w/in dermis and deeper skin tissues, painful tender fluctuant and erythematous nodules, surmounted by a pustule and a rim of erythematous edema, absent fever, lymphangitis, satellite adenopathies, good general conditions, spontaneous drainage may occur (like a fistula outside)
