Question:

Impact of air pollution

Author: Freya Watson

Answer:

Dust from mining activities may also have toxic effects depending on the chemical components present in the dust. This can reduce or stop plant growth and can be dangerous to human health because breathing in the dust can give lung disease especially to children, it can also be absorbed through human skin. Mining companies provide protective clothing to mine workers. However, many people make a living from small-scale mining without a license, which is illegal. Health problems are likely for these miners.
