Intramedullary tumor, made of confluent greyish-white nodules, which extends from the superior femoral metaphysis to the diaphysis. The tumor is necrotic in the center (greenish-yellow coloration) Nodules of hyaline and myxoid cartilage permeating throughout the medullary cavity, growing through the cortex, and forming a relatively well-circumscribed soft tissue mass Conventional chondrosarcoma entraps native lamellar bone as a confluent mass of cartilage
