Provides the energy to evaporate more water that rises, and condenses, releasing huge amounts of energy, the 5o and 20o north or south of the equator mean that there is an optimal amount of Coriolis force (rotation of the earth) to make the air spin fast enough, change in wind speed or direction prevents the stoppage of the vertical development.
