Question:

How do you calculate and interpret the interquartile range (IQR) in a dataset?

Author: Henriette Bergo

Answer:

Find the first quartile (25th percentile) and third quartile (75th percentile) of the data. Subtract the first quartile from the third quartile. The IQR shows the middle 50% of the data and is useful for detecting outliers.
