Bone marrow suppression is dose limiting, but hepatic dysfunction (cholestasis, jaundice, necrosis) also occurs. Side effects also include anorexia, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Occurrence of hepatotoxicity in the form of jaundice has been reported in about one third of adult patients.
