Gemcitabine use

Author: Suzuki

Answer:

Gemcitabine was initially approved for pancreatic cancer and now is used widely in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer, bladder cancer, and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Gemcitabine is an analog of the nucleoside deoxycytidine. It is used for the first-line treatment of locally advanced or metastatic adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. It also is effective against non–small cell lung cancer and several other tumors.
