Question:

What happens in Clinical Trails? [Part 2: Start on Placebo Trail]

Author: eric_galvao

Answer:

-2 Groups of People Involved, one is given the Actual Drug, the other is given a Placebo - A lookalike of the Drug but does Nothing. This is executed so that the Drug actually can Make a Difference, and also for the Placebo Effect to Happen [Where you feel better] -Some Trails do not allow Placebos to be taken IF the Patient is Very Ill as its seen as Unethical - Restricting the Treatment -Some Trials don't use a Placebo, but rather the Best Existing Medicine we have to Offer, to Compare the 2 and see perhaps a Winner.
