Variety of functions Ligaments: Coronary ligament: Peritoneal reflection on the cranial aspect of the liver that attaches it to the diaphragm. Triangular ligaments: The right and left lateral extensions of the coronary ligament Falciform ligament: Connects the anterior abdominal wall to the liver; contains the ligamentum teres (obliterated umbilical vein). Glisson’s capsule: The peritoneal membrane that covers the liver.
