DIAGNOSIS Labs: Increased ALP, LFTs, total and direct Bilirubin. Ultrasound: Highly specific but not very sensitive for CBD stones. It shows gallstones, dilated CBD (>6 mm), and CBD stones in only 20–30% of patients with choledocholithiasis MRCP. ERCP: provides a diagnostic and therapeutic options. Intraoperative cholangiography (during cholecystectomy).
