➢ Examples of ADCC include: – Transplant rejection – Immune reactions against parasites – Immune reactions against neoplasms ➢ ADCC may be involved in the pathophysiology of certain virus-induced immunologic diseases, such as those seen during active response to retroviral infection ➢ While direct complement-mediated lysis takes place mainly in the circulations and liver, ADCC and phagocytosis occur preferentially in the spleen and lymphoid organs.
